Instruments that could play the ground bass are the piano, the drums, the guitar and any others that would go with the song. Persanolly i think that the piano/keyboard goes best as a ground bass.

    2. Any lower tone instruments can play the ground bass, such as:
Double bass, bass guitar, cello, trombone, or the lower notes on a piano on a keyboard.

The instruments play the bass notes that set the melody for the song.

Not exactly, but the notes in the canon harmonise with each other at a different pitch

    1. canon, in music a type of counterpoint employing the strictest form of imitation. All the voices of a canon have the same melody, beginning at different times. Successive entrances may be at the same or at different pitches. Another form of canon is the circle canon. It was in the song when the two different keys are at different pitches.
    2. I think the three most important things are a drone which is a bass note held (or repeated) throughout a piece of music.the next one I think is a pedal which is a single note that is held on or repeated in the bass.
Then I think the third one is an ostinato pattern might be very short, a ground bass can last many bars before it is repeated.
